Deep Hayes Country Park (Y4)
Year 4 enjoyed an adventurous visit to Deep Hayes Country Park near Leek this half term to explore the forest and understand how cavemen may have lived (like Stig in our current text!).
We started the trip by collecting kindling and sticks for our fire as well as searching for other items around the forest. Mr Davies showed us how to make a small fire and taught us about fire safety. We ended the visit with some free time in the woods, we all enjoyed playing in an outdoor landscape before returning to school.
