Year 2GA visit Manchester Airport
Year 2 had a fabulous day at Manchester Airport learning all about plane journeys and what happens when we fly. We learnt about the jobs roles that you can do at the airport and dressed up in all the different clothes for each job. We all had a turn sitting in the pilot’s chair pretending to fly the plane! We also discussed different places that foods come from and how the Captain makes sure they are safely transported around the world. Did you know, if you go on holiday on an airplane there's a chance that there could be some food, flowers or parcels in the hold with your suitcase? We watched lots of planes taking off and landing and we also had a chance to go inside a plane and look around Concorde – it was huge!
