Peak Wildlife (Y1AF)
We've had an amazing day at Peak Wildlife!
'Animals Including Humans' is our current science topic, and it was related to this educational trip. It allowed us to see animals in their natural environments. Most notably, we saw a variety of herbivores, including the adorable goats, omnivores, and carnivores, including the enormous polar bears. During our special presentation, the zoo keeper shared a wealth of interesting facts with us, such as the knowledge that meerkats have an eye shield to keep sand out of their eyes and that lemurs use their tails for balance. The Wallaby's were incredibly amiable and adorable, and handling and feeding them was undoubtedly one of our favourite parts of the day!
