Middleport Pottery (Y1EL)
Year 1EL had a fabulous day at Middleport Pottery
we started our day by having a heritage tour of the site. This included seeing the steam engine, the Bath House and going inside a bottle kiln. We took part in a 'Stokie Story' of a pottery painter with a magic brush before designing our own plate. Finally we created our own bottle kiln out of clay - it was great to use the clay techniques that we have learnt in our previous Art lessons!
