Peak Wildlife (Y1EL)
WOW! We have had the most amazing day at Peak Wildlife, observing lots of different animals to link with our current science focus.
We enjoyed discussing whether each of the animals we saw were carnivores, herbivores or omnivores. We were amazed to observe the majestic polar bear and in awe of the tiny baby Joeys! A particular favourite part of the day was the animal fundamentals workshop carried out by a zoo keeper at the park. She was very clever and gave us lots of information about the animals. We all found it very funny to learn that a lemur's eyes are so naturally protected against the sun, it is like they have their very own built in sun glasses!
