Year 1AF visit Peak Wildlife Centre
Our Year 1 trip to Peak Wildlife Park was a very exciting day that we had all been looking forward to. When we arrived, we were happy to see so many different animals. We visited the lemurs. They were walking and climbing all around us, and one came very close. We had to stay calm and quiet so we didn’t scare them. We also saw the penguins. They were swimming quickly in the water and waddling on the land, which made everyone smile. We also visited the wallabies, where we could walk through their enclosure. They were gentle and friendly, and it was amazing to see them up close. The meerkats were very funny too, standing tall and looking around to keep watch.
At lunchtime, we sat together and talked about our favourite animals. After eating, we explored more of the park and learned interesting facts about the animals. By the end of the day, we were tired but very happy. We had so much fun and learned a lot. It was a wonderful trip that we will always remember.
